Floor 5 · The Bubbles

The Bubbles, the fifth floor, replaces open maps with 1,172 sealed domes floating in a dark gap between worlds. Each dome has land, sea, air and underground quadrants with one castle apiece, and all four must be taken before the dome pops and its stairwells open. About 178,000 crawlers start here, spread at roughly 150 to a dome.

1. The floor opens with its bubble rules; Carl, Donut and Katia start in Bubble 543, on top of the Necropolis of Anser. source
2. Chris Andrews takes the Bridge of the Akula, the first castle of Bubble 543 to fall. source
3. Carl and Donut defeat Denise and take the Commandant's quarters, freeing the Air quadrant. source
4. Gwendolyn Duet's team opens the necropolis drain and the Mad Dune Mage's sandcastle washes away, ending the Land quadrant. source
5. Carl, Katia and Tran assemble the Gate of the Feral Gods and teleport to Pandinus; the feral god released behind them is Orthrus. source
6. A lightning strike destroys Quetzalcoatlus and pops Bubble 543, after every crawler who started underground has died. source
7. Searching for Orthrus, Emberus turns Bubble 18 to lava. source
8. Emberus gives Carl two quests, to find his son's murderer and to kill his brother Hellik. source
9. A giant feral turkey that grew to level 150 is killed by Prepotente and Miriam Dom. source
10. In the floor's last hours Katia opens a portal from the Water quadrant into Larracos, flooding its faction market. source
11. The flood is later shown to have wiped out the entire Dreadnought army. source
