Privacy
Mapaverse is a free, unofficial reference map. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no comments and no forms, so it never asks for your name, email or anything else about you.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, fingerprinting or cookies.
Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request data (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time) to run the service, defend it against abuse and attacks, and diagnose errors. We do not combine these logs with anything else. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Your browser. The map keeps its view in the address bar so any view can be shared as a link. It stores one optional setting in your browser's local storage (whether experimental portraits are shown), which never leaves your device.
Content loaded from other services
Some panels show content served directly by other companies. When that content loads, your browser contacts them and they receive your IP address and browser details under their own policies:
- Fonts: Google Fonts.
- Official trailers: YouTube, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set cookies until you play a video. Google privacy policy.
- Character GIFs: the studios' official channels on GIPHY.
- Posters and actor photos: TMDB.
- Press stills and clips: Vercel Blob storage.
Links out to the fan wikis, Wikipedia, Marvel Unlimited and other sites take you to their pages and their policies.
Your rights
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is no profile to access, correct or delete. Vercel's request logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (keeping the site running and secure) and kept only as long as Vercel's standard retention allows. If you are in the EU, UK or a US state with a privacy law such as California's CCPA, you still have the right to ask what we hold and to object; write to the contact below and we will answer within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. The service runs on infrastructure in the United States.
Children
Mapaverse collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes and contact
