Floor 12 · The Halls of Ascendency
First appears in Carl's Doomsday Scenario.
Dungeon Crawler Carl
Summary
One of the recurring volcano floors, and the one where gods and their paying sponsors play the Celestial Ascendency in halls on a hill above cotton fields. It is smaller than the early floors and guarded by Divine Guardians at its fire gates to the Thirteenth Floor. Almost no crawler has reached it, and its rules change once the Nothing breaks into it.

- Entities from the Nothing invade the floor, and unsponsored gods start acting without the showrunners' control.
- An exit deal is offered at the start of the Twelfth Floor, the last one offered.
- The AI rules that the crawlers have won without either boss dying, suspends level-collapse timers past the Eleventh Floor until the Ascendency has a winner, and Carl resolves to stay and stop anyone winning.
- The Celestial Ascendency begins, viewing becomes mandatory, and outside AI systems join the contest while Larracos sits burrowed in the cotton fields.
