Kevin Thompson, a Briton born in the late 1970s, gained the power to command anyone's will after childhood experiments by his scientist parents. As Kilgrave he used it for pleasure and cruelty, held Jessica Jones captive for months, and followed her to New York. After murders, a failed bid to win her over and a drug-boosted range, she broke his neck in spring 2015.
