Sowande, called White Hat, was one of the five Fingers of the Hand. He studied at K'un-Lun, was banished for chasing immortality, then ruled the Hand in Africa as a warlord. In New York he helped dig up Elektra's body to revive her as the Black Sky. He was captured by the Defenders in 2016 and beheaded by Stick when he tried to escape.
