A Human con artist and smuggler of the mid-23rd century. Klingons held him in 2256, he later crossed paths with Discovery, and in 2266 to 2269 he repeatedly fled to new schemes until Kirk's Enterprise caught him, ending in indefinite rehabilitation therapy.

1. 2256 Klingons hold Mudd in a prison ship; he spies on his cellmates, including Lorca, and is left behind when they escape. source
2. 2266 He tries to sell three women to lithium miners on Rigel XII and is caught by the Enterprise. source
3. 2268 He leads the Enterprise to the android planet, where he is left behind with copies of Stella. source
4. 2269 He escapes, sells Starfleet Academy to the people of Ilyra VI, sells a love drug on Sirius IX and is captured on Motherlode. source
