The closest star system to Earth, about four light years from Sol, with a binary pair and a nearby single star. Humans founded an outpost on its planet in the late 21st or early 22nd century, home for a time to Zefram Cochrane, and later a university and city grew there. It is an old Federation member within the Omega-47 mine enclosure in 3196.
