Badlands

Alpha Quadrant · Prime

A region of the Alpha Quadrant known for huge plasma storms that block cloaking and sensors. Part of the Federation-Cardassian border ran through it. Bajoran resistance fighters and later the Maquis hid there; the Caretaker took ships from it in the 2370s, and in 3191 an archive hid in its calm pocket.
