Verubin Nebula

Beta Quadrant · Prime

A nebula of intense radiation and unstable fields, holding a dilithium nursery, a neutron star and the planet Theta Zeta. It was the source of the Burn: a ship crashed there in 3064, and five years later the catastrophe made refined dilithium inert. The Discovery traced the Burn here in 3189, and the Federation later mined it.
