First appears in The Way of Kings.

Summary
A country in the far west of Roshar, home of the Shin, shut off from the eastern realms by the Misted Mountains. Its sheltered ground has soil, grass that stays out in the wind, and animals such as horses and chickens that the rest of Roshar prizes. Shin society honours those who make food and clothing and treats anyone who takes up a weapon as an outcast.
