Earth Surface

The stairwells that open on Earth's surface in the hour after the Transformation: about 150,000 of them, set where survivors gather, with a single hour to descend before they close. Setting foot on the First Floor makes a person a crawler. Those who stay above are Natives. The page counts over thirteen million crawlers in all.
