Cannonball
Modern, Comics: He joins Cable's hard-edged X-Force as second in command.
Comics
Sam Guthrie is a Kentucky farm boy whose mutation lets him blast through the air inside a near-indestructible energy field. A founding New Mutant, he went on to lead X-Force, serve with the X-Men, the Avengers and the U.S.Avengers, and raise a family among the Shi'ar. He has died and been revived more than once, most recently after the 2023 Hellfire Gala.
