Secret Wars, Comics: Odin turned back a Rock Troll invasion led by Ulik, bonding Asgard and Nidavellir, and the Dwarves later forged Mjolnir from Eitri's gift of Uru.

Comics

Nidavellir is a Ten Realms world of caverns and great forges on the middle tier of Yggdrasil near Midgard, home to the Dwarves who crafted the strongest weapons of the Nine Worlds, among them Mjolnir. Nomadic Rock Trolls also roam parts of it. An alliance with Asgard led to the forging of Mjolnir, and Odin later let Tony Stark use the forges.

Cinematic

A neutron star ringed by a megastructure, home of the Dwarves and renowned for its forges, which are under Asgardian protection. Thor once freed it from an invader. Thanos later had the Gauntlet forged there, killed every Dwarf but Eitri and left the forges frozen. Years afterward Thor, Rocket and Groot restarted the star and forged Stormbreaker.

Timeline 6 events

  1. Modern · Comics: During the War of the Serpent, Odin allowed Tony Stark into the forges, where he made an arsenal of Uru weapons.
  2. Modern · Comics: Stark fused his Bleeding Edge Armor with Uru to make the Iron Destroyer for the rest of the battle.
  3. Secret Wars · Comics: Odin turned back a Rock Troll invasion led by Ulik, bonding Asgard and Nidavellir, and the Dwarves later forged Mjolnir from Eitri's gift of Uru.
  4. 2009 · Cinematic: Imir seizes the Golden Forge and enslaves the Dwarves until Thor defeats him with lightning.
  5. 2015 · Cinematic: Thanos forces Eitri to forge the Infinity Gauntlet, then slaughters the Dwarves and has the star sealed away.
  6. 2018 · Cinematic: Thor, Rocket and Groot reach the dead forges, relight the star and forge Stormbreaker with Eitri.
