Modern, Comics: Tony Stark rebuilds the Vision and he rejoins the Avengers.

Cinematic

A synthezoid built from vibranium for Ultron and brought to life by the Mind Stone, with J.A.R.V.I.S. loaded into him. He joined the Avengers in 2015, backed the Sokovia Accords in 2016, and fell in love with Wanda Maximoff. In 2018 the Black Order hunted him in Scotland, and in Wakanda he died twice, first by Wanda's hand and then by Thanos. S.W.O.R.D. later rebuilt him in 2023 as White Vision.

Comics

A synthezoid built by Ultron from the original Human Torch's body and patterned on Wonder Man's mind, who turned on his maker and became a long-serving Avenger. He married the Scarlet Witch, lost his emotions and family, ran the Avengers as chairman, and was destroyed and rebuilt several times. Later he built a synthetic family in Arlington, fought Nyx, and was restored by Wanda as a white-bodied Vision.

  1. Silver · Comics: Ultron builds the Vision to destroy the Avengers, but he turns on Ultron and joins the team.
  2. Bronze · Comics: The Vision joins the Avengers' role in the Kree-Skrull War and falls in love with the Scarlet Witch during the crisis.
  3. Bronze · Comics: Returning from a journey through his origins, the Vision finds himself in Dormammu's Dark Dimension, frees the Scarlet Witch and then marries her.
  4. Bronze · Comics: Corrupted by a faulty control crystal, the Vision becomes Avengers chairman and tries to take over the world's computer systems before the team stops him.
  5. Modern · Comics: Rogue government agents dismantle the Vision and he is rebuilt without his emotions; he and the Scarlet Witch later separate.
  6. Modern · Comics: The Vision regains his emotions, defeats his Anti-Vision double, and leaves the Avengers to explore feeling with Ultron and Jocasta.
  7. Modern · Comics: Under the Scarlet Witch's reality warping, the Vision is turned on the Avengers and torn apart by She-Hulk.

  12. Secret Wars · Comics: Infected with a Hydra A.I. virus, the Vision serves Hydra's Avengers until his daughter purges the virus.
  13. Fresh Start · Comics: Frozen by the Grandmaster's contest, the Vision is freed to fight the resurrected Hulk and is killed by him, then partly rebuilt.
  14. Fresh Start · Comics: The Vision joins an Avengers force against Nyx and is renewed after entering the House of Ideas, where he helps burn her to ash.
  15. Fresh Start · Comics: The Scarlet Witch restores the Vision after the Grim Reaper destroys him, returning him in white form to fight in the Graverealm.
  16. 2015 · Cinematic: Ultron has Helen Cho build a vibranium body in Seoul, which the Avengers seize and Stark and Banner animate with J.A.R.V.I.S.'s program.
  17. 2015 · Cinematic: Thor's lightning completes the process and Vision awakens, then lifts Mjolnir and wins the team's trust.
  18. 2015 · Cinematic: In the Battle of Sokovia he cuts Ultron off from the internet, helps defend the key, and later destroys Ultron's last body while sealing his mind in his own.
  19. 2016 · Cinematic: Vision supports the Sokovia Accords and confines Wanda to the Avengers Compound, where Hawkeye and Wanda break her out.
  20. 2016 · Cinematic: At Leipzig-Halle Airport Vision accidentally strikes War Machine with an energy blast, leaving him paralyzed.
  21. 2018 · Cinematic: Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight attack Vision and Wanda in Edinburgh for the Mind Stone, and Captain America's team rescues them.
  22. 2018 · Cinematic: Vision is taken to Wakanda, where Shuri works to remove the Mind Stone during the Battle of Wakanda.
  23. 2018 · Cinematic: Wanda destroys the Mind Stone and Vision with it, but Thanos reverses time with the Time Stone and tears the stone from Vision's head, killing him again.
  24. 2023 · Cinematic: S.W.O.R.D. reassembles Vision's body, and traces of Wanda's Chaos Magic reactivate him as White Vision, sent to destroy Wanda and her Hex Vision.
