Prime

A Human Starfleet officer from Mojave, Earth, and one of the most decorated captains of the 23rd century. He commanded the Enterprise from 2250, briefly captained the Discovery in 2257, and handed the Enterprise to Kirk around 2263. Badly injured in 2266, he spent his last years on Talos IV, living inside an illusion of health.

  3. 2257 On Boreth, Pike sees a time crystal vision of his future disabling accident and still retrieves the crystal. source
  4. 2257 Pike takes temporary command of the Discovery while the Enterprise is disabled and helps hunt for Spock. source
  5. 2257 Pike meets Spock and Burnham at Talos IV and resists Section 31 attempts to take them. source
  6. 2258 Pike returns to the Enterprise to face the Control-possessed Section 31 fleet. source
  7. 2259 At Starbase 1, Pike helps Admiral April win the R'ongovian alliance through unorthodox argument. source
  8. 2259 At Outpost 4 on the Romulan Neutral Zone, a future Pike shows his younger self the cost of changing his fate. source
  9. 2259 Pike hosts the Enterprise's first meeting with Lieutenant Kirk on a mission in Bannon's Nebula. source
  10. 2261 The Enterprise gathers at Starbase 1 for the Federation centennial, where Pike improvises the celebration. source
  11. 2263 Pike hands the Enterprise to Kirk and is promoted to admiral. source
  12. 2266 On a cadet training vessel, Pike is exposed to delta radiation while saving cadets and is left immobile. source
  13. 2267 Spock diverts the Enterprise to Starbase 11 and carries Pike to Talos IV, where he lives out his life. source

Kelvin

Starfleet officer who dared young James Kirk to enlist in 2255 and became the first captain of the new Enterprise. Captured by Nero in 2258 and rescued, he was promoted to admiral. Restored to command in 2259, he was killed in Khan's attack on Starfleet Headquarters.

  5. 2259 Khan attacks a meeting at Starfleet Headquarters and kills Pike. source
