The gifted son of two Starfleet officers, Wesley grew up partly aboard the Enterprise-D, served as an acting ensign and then entered the Academy. A cover-up over a fatal flight accident scarred his time there. In 2370 he left Starfleet to follow the Traveler, later returned to uniform, and eventually became a wandering guardian of time who aids Voyager-A and the Protostar crew in 2384.

3. 2364 He joins the Enterprise-D with his mother, meets the Traveler, and receives a field commission as acting ensign. source

6. 2368 A fatal flight maneuver and the squadron's false testimony lead to disgrace until he confesses to Picard. source

9. 2384 As an energy form he warns Voyager-A not to use the wormhole, then later helps rescue the stranded Gwyn and guides the Protostar crew. source
