- New rules force him to obtain a court order before he can message Carl at all, and he often goes silent behind an automated reply.
- A court injunction bars the hunters from communicating with anyone outside the dungeon, which Carl credits to Quasar.
- Quasar's deal gives the Royal Court four cretin bodyguards and two installed spells, one of them Zerzura.
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
- Harbinger turns up at one of Carl's interviews, and Quasar zaps in furious and uses the interview to smuggle Carl an update on Faction Wars.
- During the adjutant selection on Odette's show Quasar silently coaches Carl and pushes for the orc judge Victory.

This Inevitable Ruin
- At the start of the Ninth Floor Quasar warns Carl that Sensation Entertainment has been bought by a subsidiary of the Dream and is demanding the third season he negotiated.
- Quasar is shut out when Orren pulls Carl into a zero zone to interrogate him about the implant, and Carl is refused counsel.
- At the end of Faction Wars Quasar handles the exit negotiations, records Carl's refusal and tells him that Donut has been assigned a separate attorney, Princess Chandra, who is now Carl's wife.
A Parade of Horribles
- His messages to Carl grow unreliable, and at least one warning is cut off mid-message.
- Chandra, seeing him as the biggest threat to her scheme, hires two contractors to kill him; they attack his brother's house, where his niece Tempest kills both, and he retains his friend Kiki.
- At their last meeting, visibly shaking, Quasar presents the single exit deal on offer, advises Carl not to trust it, and flees the meeting without saying why.
