Floor 11 · A Parade of Horribles

The eleventh floor, A Parade of Horribles, is the shortest floor of the crawl: three hours and a quarter. The last twenty-three crawlers build themed floats in ninety minutes, march three kilometers between masked crowds along a yellow-brick road, and end in an arena with a floor boss. Carl summons the dungeon boss Scolopendra instead, and the fight ends with the door to the eighteenth floor open.

1. In an earlier season Odette loses both legs to a Fiend Scythe on this floor, which few crawlers of any season have reached. source

1. During the Tenth Floor the AI has Zev announce the eleventh as an extension of the tenth, and stand-ins for mobs killed there are picked by home-audience vote. source
2. Of 203 crawlers who reached the floor, twenty-three are left when staging begins; their garages are merged into five float groups and Chaco is made Grand Master of the parade. source
3. Just before the procession steps off, Carl leaves the Royal Court. source
4. At the Judging Stands the AI tears the wings off Chaco when he breaks down, seizes the fleshmancer Grigori to narrate its account of Primal history in his place, and has Florin's unprepared group punished with broken legs. source
5. On the Vengeance float Carl unveils an effigy of the Unwashed, and a looted Reaver transport opens its bay doors to rain Sluggalos on the bound elites in the stands. source
6. At the arena door Carl spends the first of two stand-in summons on Scolopendra, while Krakaren Prime waits atop the white tree at the arena's centre. source
7. The AI sets out the stakes: beating Scolopendra ends the level timers and floor collapses and starts the Ascendency battles. source
8. Carl draws Emberus into Club Scolopendra while the rest of the party shelters in Makana's RV through the boss's second attack. source
9. Donut pins Emberus and strips his invulnerability, and Taranis kills his brother after the fire thrown at Carl is deflected into Taranis's pig. source
10. Eris freezes the world to swap inventories, Donut splatters Scolopendra with a thrown concoction, and Taranis leaves with Samantha and Krakaren Prime. source
11. The AI declares the crawlers winners though neither boss died, opens the door on the eighteenth floor and suspends all later collapse timers; nineteen crawlers remain. source
