The northernmost kingdom of Erilea, founded by Brannon and Mala and ruled by House Galathynius from Orynth. Ten years before the first book Adarlan murdered its royal line, burned its libraries and schools, and crushed its army at Theralis. Its lords held it afterward; its forests and rivers still define the north.

  1. Brannon, with Mala Fire-Bringer, founds Terrasen after sailing from Wendlyn and landing at Ilium. source
  2. The King of Adarlan kills King Orlon and the heir's family; only the child Aelin escapes. source
  3. Adarlan's armies burn the library of Orynth and attack the school at Devellin, then destroy the remaining Terrasen army at Theralis. source
  4. Stewardship of the occupied kingdom passes to the Lords of the noble houses. source
