Cinematic

A Sovereign engineered by his mother Ayesha to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy. The High Evolutionary woke him early and sent him after Rocket, first at Knowhere and then on Counter-Earth, where Ayesha died when the planet was destroyed. After Groot spared his life and he rescued Star-Lord from space, he settled among the Knowhere crowd and joined Rocket's new Guardians.

Comics

An artificial cosmic being made by the Enclave, first called Him, who fled his makers and was reborn as Warlock under the High Evolutionary. He became Counter-Earth's champion, fought his evil future self the Magus, and bore the Soul Gem. Across his lives he led the Infinity Watch, advised Thanos, helped found the modern Guardians of the Galaxy, and later fought Ultron and Gamora over the Infinity Stones. He dies and is reborn in cocoons repeatedly.

  1. Silver · Comics: Created by the Enclave as Him, he sensed their intentions, wrecked their complex and escaped.
  2. Bronze · Comics: Reborn as Warlock with the Soul Gem from the High Evolutionary, he went to Counter-Earth and fought the Man-Beast.
  3. Bronze · Comics: With Thanos, Gamora and Pip, he erased the timeline that produced the Magus, his evil future self.
  4. Bronze · Comics: Took the Soul Gem to the Moon with a rescued astronaut and, with Spider-Man and the Gardener, fought the Stranger.
  5. Bronze · Comics: Warned the Avengers of Thanos's plan to destroy the stars, was killed, and his spirit retreated into the Soul Gem while Thanos was turned to stone.
  6. Modern · Comics: After years in Soulworld he returned in a new body, rallied Earth's heroes against Thanos, and took the Infinity Gauntlet.
  7. Modern · Comics: Split the Infinity Gems among the Infinity Watch and based it on Monster Island, later banishing the Magus into Soul World.
  8. Modern · Comics: Went with the Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange to Asgard to get Odin's help for a deranged Thor, and a battle damaged part of Asgard.

  10. Modern · Comics: Driven mad by knowledge from the reality anchor Atlez, he spent two years in a cocoon, then recovered and delivered the information to Earth for Atleza.
  11. Modern · Comics: Woken early from a cocoon, he helped defeat the Phalanx Ultron in Annihilation: Conquest and then formed the Guardians of the Galaxy, based on Knowhere.
  12. Modern · Comics: After stopping the Fault from spreading, he was consumed by his dark future and became the Magus; Star-Lord killed him in a time-travelled battle.
  13. Modern · Comics: The hidden Magus was killed by the Cancerverse's Captain Marvel after Thanos was freed.
  14. Modern · Comics: Resurrected after meeting Thanos at the realm of death, he was drawn into the Infinity Revelation conflict against his parallel counterpart.
  15. Fresh Start · Comics: Pursued the Soul Gem from Soul World to Saiph and fought Ultron, then was beheaded by Gamora, whose Warp World plan he helped undo with the Cosmic Avengers.
  16. 2014 · Cinematic: After the Battle on Ego's Planet, Ayesha builds Adam in a birth pod as a weapon against the Guardians.
  17. 2026 · Cinematic: The High Evolutionary opens Adam's cocoon early and sends him to capture Rocket on Knowhere.
  18. 2026 · Cinematic: Adam fights the Guardians across Knowhere, is stabbed by Nebula, and retreats to Arete Laboratories on Counter-Earth.
  19. 2026 · Cinematic: Adam and Ayesha go to the Orgoscope, where he kills the Ravager Fitz-Gibbonok and adopts the creature Blurp.
  20. 2026 · Cinematic: Adam follows the Guardians to Counter-Earth, kills War Pig, and sees Ayesha die as the High Evolutionary destroys the planet.
  21. 2026 · Cinematic: In the battle between Knowhere and Arete Laboratories Adam is trapped in a crashing ship and later passes out, and Groot carries him to safety on Knowhere.
  22. 2026 · Cinematic: Adam rescues Star-Lord from freezing in space and carries him back to Knowhere.
  23. 2026 · Cinematic: Adam joins the new Guardians under Rocket and fights alongside them on Krylor.
