Asgard
Modern, Comics: Ragnarok ends the Asgardian cycle; Asgard is later rebuilt above Broxton, Oklahoma.
Comics
Asgard is the flat, floating landmass of the Aesir gods, a small other-dimensional realm where matter is denser than on Earth. It is laced with portals to the other Nine Worlds and linked to Earth by the Bifrost. The capital city shares its name, and Valhalla lies within it. After Ragnarok its city was rebuilt on Earth, and Odin later withdrew into the empty realm.
Cinematic
Asgard was a small, flat, asteroid-like plane in the Nine Realms, home of the Asgardians and seat of a strict monarchy. Rainbow Bridge, Odin's Vault and the royal palace stood there. Kings ran from Buri through Bor and Odin, with Loki posing as Odin for a stretch and Hela seizing the throne at the end. Surtur was released in 2017 to defeat Hela and burned the realm away, and the survivors resettled in Norway.
