The original Wasp, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and wife of Hank Pym. In 1987 she shrinks into a Soviet missile to disarm it and is lost to the Quantum Realm, where she meets Kang and later joins the Freedom Fighters. Rescued in 2018, she is snapped within days and restored in 2023. An undated portal accident sends her family back into the Quantum Realm, where Kang is defeated.

Comics

Janet Van Dyne is a New Jersey socialite and fashion designer who became the size-changing hero the Wasp after her scientist father was killed by an extradimensional creature. She suggested the name Avengers, served as the team's chairwoman, and was long partnered and married to Hank Pym. Skrulls turned her into a living bomb in the Secret Invasion, leaving her lost in the Microverse until the Avengers rescued her.
