Quentin Beck, an engineer whose holographic invention Tony Stark renamed B.A.R.F. and took credit for before firing him. In 2024 he led ex-Stark staff in staging drone-and-hologram Elemental attacks across Europe, posing as a hero from a parallel Earth. He tricked Peter Parker out of E.D.I.T.H., then died in the Battle of London when a drone shot him. His doctored footage exposed Spider-Man's identity.

Quentin Beck is a Hollywood special effects artist and stuntman who turned to crime as the illusionist Mysterio, chiefly to torment Spider-Man. He was a founding member of the Sinister Six and ran many fraud schemes with holograms, gases and robots. After a staged breakdown plot against Daredevil he took his own life, was later brought back by the demon Kindred, and has since cycled through prison, retirement and new schemes.
