Vanaheim
Modern, Comics: Asgardians fought Frost Giants on the plains for nine months before an impostor Thor killed Asgardians in front of Balder.
Comics
Vanaheim is a Ten Realms world of forests, fields and plains on the highest tier of Yggdrasil beside Asgard and Alfheim. It is the home of the Vanir, a sorcerous race founded by Njord, and is dotted with abandoned mountain-sized citadels. It saw a long war with Odin's Aesir that ended in union, attacks during Ragnarok, and an uprising during the War of Burning.
Cinematic
Vanaheim is one of the Nine Realms, home of the Vanir and of Hogun. Marauders invaded it in 2010, and in 2013 an Asgardian army under Thor with Hogun drove them out. The same year the Convergence briefly carried two Royal Air Force jets there from the Battle of Greenwich.
