Half-Klingon engineer who left Starfleet Academy, joined the Maquis, and was swept into the Delta Quadrant in 2371. She became chief engineer of Voyager, married Tom Paris in 2377, and gave birth to her daughter Miral on the way home in 2378. Later she served on the Dauntless.

1. 2354 Her father leaves the family and she spends time on the Klingon homeworld and at a monastery with her mother. source
2. 2368 She drops out of Starfleet Academy at nineteen after repeated disciplinary trouble. source
3. 2370 Chakotay saves her life and she joins the Maquis. source
4. 2371 The Caretaker carries her ship to the Delta Quadrant, where she joins the Voyager crew and soon becomes chief engineer. source
5. 2372 She destroys the Dreadnought missile she once reprogrammed, which the Caretaker had also carried to the Delta Quadrant. source
6. 2375 Voyager makes contact with Starfleet through a Hirogen network, and she falls into a depression over the loss of her Maquis friends. source
7. 2376 After a shuttle accident she visits the Klingon afterlife in a coma to try to save her mother. source
8. 2377 She marries Tom Paris. source
9. 2378 Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant and she gives birth to her daughter Miral during the final battle with the Borg. source
10. 2384 Pardoned and commissioned, she serves as one of three chief engineers on the Dauntless. source
