Delphic Expanse

A hazardous region of the Beta Quadrant about fifty light years from Earth, ringed by thermobaric clouds and full of spatial anomalies. Transdimensional Sphere-Builders made it with giant spheres to reshape space for their own use. Enterprise destroyed the spheres in 2154 and the Expanse ceased to exist.

  1. 2133 A Klingon ship enters the Expanse and returns with its crew anatomically inverted, after which Klingons avoid it. source
  2. 2152 The Vulcan ship Seleya is lost mapping the thermobaric clouds, and the rescue ship Vaankara is destroyed after its crew goes mad. source
  3. 2153 Enterprise enters the Expanse to find the Xindi after the March attack on Earth. source
  4. 2154 Enterprise disables a sphere and the chain reaction destroys the Sphere network, so the Expanse ceases to exist. source
