What happens, where and who
A prequel collection of five novellas following the assassin Celaena Sardothien and her fellow killer Sam under the master Arobynn Hamel. Missions take her to a pirate port and the Red Desert, and she defies Arobynn at growing cost, ending with Sam lost and Celaena sentenced to the Endovier salt mines.
