Fresh Start, Comics: After Krakoa's fall, Polaris rams Knowhere into the Orchis space station the Bloom, and the Brood destroy the station.
Comics
A scientific station and trading hub built inside the severed head of a Celestial that drifts at the edge of space-time, first as a research outpost and later a crossroads for cosmic heroes. It served the Annihilators and the Guardians, was seized by Hela and the Black Order, vanished into a black hole, and was brought back near Jupiter. It now houses the Brood.
Cinematic
The severed head of a Celestial, originally on the edge of the Galactic Rim, mined by the Tivan Group and home to the Collector's Museum. Thanos wrecked it in 2018. In 2025 the Guardians of the Galaxy bought it, repaired it and fitted engines, turning it into their mobile headquarters and later a city that Nebula intends to lead.

- Modern · Comics: A city grows inside the decaying head and becomes the Knowhere science station, run by a council of races with Cosmo as security chief.
- Modern · Comics: Nova and the Guardians of the Galaxy fend off repeated alien invasions of Knowhere, aided at times by the Luminals.
- Modern · Comics: Knowhere becomes a base of operations for the Annihilators.
- Fresh Start · Comics: The dark god Knull beheads a Celestial and uses the severed head as a forge for his Necrosword.
- Fresh Start · Comics: Hela and the Black Order seize Knowhere and use it to attack Sanctuary II.
- Fresh Start · Comics: The Black Order stages Thanos's resurrection on Knowhere.
- Fresh Start · Comics: Knowhere, Hela and Thanos are sucked into an artificial black hole as the Guardians and Dark Guardians invade.
- Fresh Start · Comics: Forge and Monet reach Knowhere through a Krakoan Gate and return it to normal space around Jupiter.
- Fresh Start · Comics: King Broo moves the rest of the Brood to Knowhere after Nightmare's control of them ends.
- Fresh Start · Comics: After Krakoa's fall, Polaris rams Knowhere into the Orchis space station the Bloom, and the Brood destroy the station.
- 2013 · Cinematic: Sif and Volstagg deliver the Aether to the Collector at his museum.
- 2014 · Cinematic: The Guardians bring the Orb to the Collector; Carina uses it and is killed along with the museum, while Ronan attacks and takes the Orb.
- 2018 · Cinematic: Thanos takes the Reality Stone and destroys most of Knowhere, then fakes an intact scene to trap the Guardians.
- 2025 · Cinematic: The Guardians buy the ruined Knowhere from the Collector and begin rebuilding it as their base.
- 2026 · Cinematic: Adam Warlock attacks Knowhere and mortally wounds Rocket, sending the Guardians off on a rescue mission.
- 2026 · Cinematic: Knowhere, now fitted with propellers, flies to the High Evolutionary's Arete Laboratories and docks to rescue the captive animals and children.
- 2026 · Cinematic: The High Evolutionary is imprisoned on Knowhere, and Nebula takes on leading the city.
