It has been wrecked and rebuilt many times and renamed more than once: Xavier Institute, Jean Grey School, Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach. It later became a Krakoan habitat with a gateway to Krakoa, and then Graymalkin Prison, a mutant jail.
